1. Service Overview
social.lahevirta.fi is a private, family-operated Fediverse instance for members of the extended Lähevirta family. Public registration is closed.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Username, display name, email address, bio, profile image, and hashed credentials.
- Content: Posts, replies, media uploads, boosts, and favorites you create on the service.
- Technical Data: Basic server logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) maintained temporarily for security and diagnostic purposes.
- Cookies: Session cookies necessary to keep you logged into the Service. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.
3. Federation and Public Content
As part of the decentralized Fediverse (ActivityPub protocol), content you publish publicly is federated and distributed to other servers across the network. Deleting a post sends a deletion request to federated servers, but retention policies on remote instances are outside of our direct control.
4. Data Storage and Retention
The Service is hosted within the European Union (Finland). Data is retained as long as your account remains active or until deleted by you or the instance administrator.
